The catch on this lead is very solid and provides ample reassurance that it is unlikely to fail in an emergency. The fabric is smooth and flexible, which makes the leash very easy to handle and it doesn’t feel heavy.

We are using the BAT leash with the help of our trainer. Working to help our puppy with very strong reactivity to strange dogs after an experience where she was nearly attacked, pulled away and left me with a concussion. We think that the BAT leash will be very helpful

This is a very high quality dog lead, but most leads are pretty well made. The real beauty of this model is how it helps facilitate the use of BAT leash skills. It’s big and thick and easy to handle, and the 15 foot length has transformed dog walks for me (less tugging from Charlie) and my dog (having a greater sense of freedom on walks). A totally different experience, once you get the leash skills down. If you’re committed to the whole BAT system of leash skills, this is the perfect tool for implementation. (I would mention that, coming from a 1/2” cotton lead, I was surprised at how heavy the BAT leash is, but it didn’t take long to get used to it.)
