I like the 1/2 inch, very sturdy and soft on the hands. I use it with reactive dogs. Also it works great with dogs that have a tendency to pull out of the harness. I connect to the front clip harness and then the back clip from the harness for back up. It gives better control. I wished it was a little cheaper so my clients could buy it. I don’t find as an impediment the fact that the 1/2 inch is a little heavier, it means is reliable and strong. I guess if you get creative, you can use it in many ways.
